Books about Mama Mu and Krux have been translated into 30 languages ​​and are known all over the world. Their authors are Juja Wieslander, an honorary member of the Swedish Academy of Children's Books, and Sven Nordqvist, who gained worldwide fame thanks to books about Pettson and Findus.

Juja Wislander is a Swedish children's writer. She is best known as the author of a series of short stories about the inquisitive cow Mama Mu and the philosophizing raven Krax, illustrated by Sven Nordqvist.

Yuya designed the characters with her husband Thomas. Mama Mu and Kruks appeared as the heroes of a radio play and children's songs, and only in 1991 the first book was published. In 2005, Yuja Wieslander received the Astrid Lindgren Award.
