Mauri Kunnas

Books by Mauri Kunnas have been translated into 35 languages ​​and published in 36 countries, with a total circulation of about 9 million copies. In total, he created about 40 children's books.
The heroes of Kunnas' books are cute cats, dogs, piglets, raccoons and other animals that have been transformed into literary and mythological characters. The success of the author was brought by the hilariousness of texts and pictures, which is combined with an attentive and careful attitude to historical details.
In addition to children's books, Mauri Kunnas draws cartoons for the two largest daily Finnish newspapers Turun Sanomat and Helsingin Sanomat and parody rock comics.
