Pokey - swamp bumps. They did not grieve for themselves, but the swamp was drained, and the water left. In the meantime, without soft, moist earth, it’s really bad - they are completely dry, their soles are itching, and they themselves have become like stacks tousled by the wind. Then they went to look for a new place for themselves and met with the artist Edgar Walter. He made friends with the Pokami, taught them how to wash, heat the stove, fish, make tea and many other very necessary and important things. And then he told us about all the adventures of the poks and drew pictures himself. A fun, smart, brilliantly illustrated book to read in the family circle, along with children and adults.

Edgar Walther (1929-2006) - illustrator, designed 250 books, 170 of them - books for children. He worked in cinema, theater, made sketches of costumes, posters, posters. At the age of 65, he wrote his first children's book, Pokey. In the Pöörismäe farm in Võrumaa County, he created 15 books in 12 years, of which only the book "Poki" was translated into Russian in 1995. For his contribution to the national culture of Estonia, Edgar Walter was awarded the Estonian Order of the White Star.
