Most of Agnia Barto's poems are written for children - preschoolers or younger students. The style is very light, the poems are easy to read and remember even for kids. The author, as it were, speaks to the child in a simple everyday language, without lyrical digressions and descriptions - but in rhyme. And the conversation is with young readers, as if the author is their age.

The poem "The House Has Moved" is dedicated to the movement of house No. 5/6 along Serafimovich Street in Moscow, which interfered with the construction of the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge in 1937. A feature of this movement was the need to raise the building (weight 7500 tons) to a height of 1.87 m. Nevertheless, the movement took place without the resettlement of residents.
