Bear Bruno and his dog Lolla are the heroes of 4 picture books created by contemporary Swedish artist Gunilla Ingves. Each book is dedicated to one of the seasons - winter, spring, summer and autumn - and it describes one day in the life of the characters, filled with activities and entertainment "in season".
Autumn is a busy time for Bruno the bear and Lolla the dog. They harvest, stock up for the winter, rake fallen leaves into heaps, prepare seeds for future crops, and also cook pumpkin soup and bake apple pie.
The main story of the book is "framed" by notes from the diary of Mishka Bruno's observations. They contain a lot of sketches and informative information from the natural world of a certain time of the year.
The first spread of the diary is devoted to preparations for the winter: how to properly dry sunflower seeds and make apple rings. The second spread will tell you why the leaves turn yellow and how hedgehogs, garden snails and other animals prepare for hibernation.
